What it captures

Card frequency relative to expected baseline
Sensitivity to game state — decisions when teams are leading, trailing, or level
Timing patterns — distribution of decisions across the 90 minutes
Overall consistency versus volatility across matches

How to interpret

0 – 30

Low
Calm, predictable referee behavior. Card counts are stable across matches.

31 – 60

Medium
Moderate variability in decision patterns. Individual match outcomes can swing.

61 – 100

High
High-impact, volatile refereeing profile. Elevated disciplinary risk match to match.
